Description

300-year-old school based on, strong traditional boarding school values. A co-ed school with 80% British borders and 20% international from over 28 different countries. Based on 200 acres of Suffolk countryside, only 1 hour from London but a safe and secure environment. We have a centre of musical excellence where we offer scholarships and we have a strong name in Art, design and textiles. Our school has a Christian ethos and chapel three times a week. EAL is a big part of the school and the international students have a lot of assistance with their English language skills from the team. The RHS has no compulsory Exeat weekends. 97% of pupils have gained a place at a university of their choice, with 50% going to Russell Group universities.

Tuition costs

The yearly fee is £32,277 including boarding.

Accommodation

All International pupils board with the British pupils; we avoid putting the same nationalities in the same year group and houses. This is all included in the yearly fee.

We have a SENCO team and every pupil has a tutor that they see every week as well as various people in the house for support both academic and pastoral.

Sports

We are a sailing school and have strong teams in rugby, swimming, tennis, basketball, hockey, athletics and cricket amongst others. We have 100 co-curricular classes.

Application process

The pupils will sit on-line exams in Maths and English, and will then have a Skype interview. We also request copies of their school reports from the past two years, and copies of passports and a registration fee.

An area of outstanding natural beauty, plenty of cycles rides routes and walks, as well organised trips to the Local count town of Cambridge, cinemas.
