A School of Opportunity Set in the north-west area of Christchurch, our co-educational Middle school focuses on the education of 10-14 years old students. We have a diverse range of cultures, for which we provide a rich and varied curriculum. Casebrook Intermediate offers:

Tuition costs

Tuition costs for international students: $325.00 per week per student $200.00 Admin Fee per student.

Accommodation homestay,

International students accommodation: Homestay with kiwi buddy $300.00 per week per student $50.00 placement fee per student.

Student support

International Director, ESOL Teachers, Learning Support Teacher – a teacher dedicated to student well-being.

Type of programs Long-term programs (study for 1 year or more), Short-term programs (study for 3-6-9 month), Study Groups, We accept short-term students and study groups.
English as second language

Enriching ESOL programme where students are known by name and fully supported in spoken and written English. They meet with a designated teacher in a very small group situation at least three times per week. They are provided with appropriate learning activities when in the classroom with their kiwi buddy.

Sports

Students can participate in a large range of sporting codes. Many teams have the opportunity to compete in competitions. The school prides itself on many extra curricular opportunities these are available in the Arts, Music Lessons and Cultural Groups.

Features of the local area

Casebrook is very close to many public parks and playgrounds. We have a large local mall with movie theatre, shops and eateries. There are two swimming complexes in the area. Public transport is easily accessible and the roads have many dedicated bicycle lanes.

Curriculum

 As an Intermediate School we offer rich learning activities in: English, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Physical Education, Science, The Arts and Technology (This includes working in a Food Room, Digital Technology Room and Hard Materials Room, including woodwork, metal work, electronics and plastics).
