Auckland Grammar School is one of New Zealand most prestigious schools. The School is well- known for its strong 152-year history of academic excellence and for developing well-rounded, global citizens who go to study at the best universities worldwide in the USA, UK, Australia and NZ. Auckland Grammar has a school roll of 2600 students, including 140 international students who contribute to the dynamic and engaging school environment. Teamwork, pride, and determination are key attributes of school life and students are encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities at Auckland Grammar in sport, art, music and culture.
The School offers two qualification pathways for university entrance with 60% of its students studying Cambridge International Exams, and 40% NCEA. Recently, Auckland Grammar students gained 8 Top in New Zealand Awards and 6 Top in the World Awards, which is impressive given that over 1 million students from 10,000 schools sit CAIE exams annually. In addition, each year Auckland Grammar students receive elite NZQA government scholarship awards for NZ university enrolment.
Auckland Grammar’s 2016 Education Review Office audit stated “International students have access to high-quality learning opportunities. They are fully integrated into the life of the school and participate in a wide range of co-curricular activities. Their well-being and academic progress is closely monitored. Many international students achieve very high levels of academic success.”
